Motor removal Our dishwasher (Model LDS 5811WW) has LE come up when you turn it on. We were told by LG that it needs a new motor...so how do we get one? Also do you have any instructions as to properly getting it out? The clsest repair person suggested is 1 hr. from us and it would cost 3/4 of what the diswasher cost originally.

I am having a same problem. You can open dishwasher sump assembly from inside the dishwasher and check if something is blocking white impeller. I tried to open impeller and sheared screw head as I did't realized it is left handed screw. Even after cleaning impeller you still get problem, you need to check from bottom and see if something is stuck there. If all right and you are still getting error then it is time to replace motor. In my case I ordered entire sump assembly as my seals were also wornout. Sump assy cost $113 on Sears part direct.

LDS 5811ww- permanent draining

Remove the front panel - In the crack where the top and front meet about 2 inches over from each edge there are clips you push in with a putty knife or flat blade screwdriver and the front releases at the top and un hooks from the bottom. Now put washer in the spin cycle. right in front at bottom is the motor and on top of the motor is a silver colored part ( the inverter) look in between the motor and the inverter on the right about 2 inches back - you should see a green light that is flashing ( it may help to darken the room) Tell me how many times it is flashing.

I have attached a diagram of the motor to help.7edbc65.jpg

Lg dishwasher showing error code LE how do I fix it already checked for loose wires

Hi,

Try - Disconnect the Power Supply. Wait for 30 Minutes. Again Turn ON the Dishwasher. Is that Fixed the Problem.

If not, i am afraid friend, you need to replace the Wash Motor.

LE usually Refers to Motor Locked Up. Replace Wash Motor.

I have seen many of the Dishwasher gone Bad within Few Months.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Wiring connection is OK? The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. The rotor of Washing Motor is locked. The Blade is locked.

LD Dishwasher power problem

On the LDS5811 model, I doubt very much that the door switch would cause a full failure.
If you are confident the power is live into the dishwasher, the most common failure with this symptom is a failed controller card (PCB) and will require a service call to LG.

Le code

You should check for that the pump motor turn freely. You will have to remove the sump cover in the bottom of the dishwasher and manually turn the pump impeller. (note: screw holding the impeller on the motor shaft is a left hand thread) There may be an object there or at the cutting blade a bit lower down that is preventing the motor from turning. Motor should turn easily, smoothly, and quietly. There have been issues with magnets in the motor windings cracking, resulting in hard to turn or noisy motors. Also, models produced with serial numbers 501KW_____ to 702KW_____ may have wiring which has become embedded in the door insulation material, softening the wiring insulation, and causing a short to the motor. The fix for that is to replace the wiring harness and outer door liner with one with a different type of insulation. (not much fun to do)
In your case I suspect the motor first.

Lds 5811ww dishwasher e1

LG have a history of E1 error problems.

The controller board can be one cause, however, most of these are caused by a faulty circulation pump.

The impeller breaks on the shaft and does not turn, so it doesn't produce pressure. A pressure sensor activates, bringing up the 'E1" message.

The impeller and pump are a complete assembly.

Replacing it usually fixes the problem.
