Question about HP Photosmart 945 Digital Camera

HP 945 I need help! When I put batteries (rechargable) in my camera it doesn't do anything except...the viewing screen flashes and I get a red light flashing too. Has anyone ever had this problem?

I had this same problem and I though my camera was shot and gone forever. I even was about to buy another camera after much research, but then I thought I'd try one last time and found out how to do the resetting (taking out the batteries for ten minutes and putting them back in). Well, my HP 945 is now in working order again, and I am thrilled. Lisa WV

I have had this problem with my 945 as well, the only way I could get it to stop was to take the batteries out and leave them out for a while.

Screen black. Power light on unit flashes red slowly. Power light on switching adaptor power supply flashed green slowly.

Sounds like the battery might be low which would cause the red flashing light and dark screen. Let it charge for a little bit then try turning it on again. If it still does it with the power supply plugged in, make sure there isn't a lens cover on it, and switch modes or try getting into the menu to see if you can get anything to come up. If that still doesn't work then it sounds like there might be a problem with the camera.

I have a kodak easyshare c533 camera and it won't turn on. I tried new batteries but all it does is flash the green light. Any ways to fix this?

Green light flashed, turned red, lens would not open. Put in new rechargeable batteries, still nothing. Someone here suggested to try regular AA cheapie batteries. IT WORKED!

Red flashing light

Find a new supply of "Duracell Ultra with M3 Technology" batteries and give them a try. The flashing red light is usually an indication that the batteries you have in the unit are not producing sufficient power to run the camera. Rechargable batteries are should have a rating of 2500mAh or above in order to provide enough power to maintain the draw from the camera.

Hope this helps!

Red light continually flashes, and won't take picture

Set the camera to anything except no flash. Turn it off. Take out the battery. Wait 5-10 seconds. Put the battery back in. The flash should now work until you turn the camera off again (and then you must remove/replace the battery to get the flash working again).

The flash requires some kind of "master reset" to work. Haven't found a permanent solution to this.
