I have an BROTHER INTELLIFAX 2820 and I get what looks like a shadow (double) print). I've changed the toner cartridge and I get the same problem. I've cleaned everything very well. I found that when I used a new drum (where the toner cartridge goes into) it works fine! My question is--- How can I fix the drum so that stops? Also, what can i use to clean it safely? thanks,
You have probably been using non genuine toner, some kinds of this toner is not the same quality as Brother toner and just chews you drum out before its due to be changed. Change the drum and use genuine toner.

Re: double print or a shadow print
Unfortunately your drum unit is shot. The mechanism that cleans excess toner from the drum surface is worn out or has developed a problem. The materials needed to repair are generally not available. If this is happening then the surface of the drum is probably near the end of its usable life anyway. Save yourself a lot of grief and aggravation. Bite the bullet and buy a new drum unit. Office Depot, Staples, etc. usually offer them at about $105.

The loud clicking noise is either the toner cartridge or the paper feed.
If the jam occurs in the drum and toner cartridge then I recommend changing the toner.
If the paper is not being fed at all then you need to have the paper feed kit replaced.
with machine on, open front cover, press the "options" button, you should see "replace drum?" press the "start" key then 1 then 0. display should show accepted for a couple of secs. then show cover open. close front cover and message should be gone. if not, you will have to contact Brother.
what do you mean printing stage?for the blank pages,it may only require cleaning.check the toner save setting, make sure it is off.clean the scanner glass of the machine,or you may just need to replace the drum
