Ps2 slim's red light wont turn on (wont run games too)

PS2 slim wont turn on (even the red light). Everything is plugged in and my brother could turn it on, but he is gone now. Ionly got it to turn on once, I unplugged it because I had to move it. Red light never turned on again. Helppp!!!

Try fiddling w/ your power cord, move it everywhere, If it doesn't work ever, try someone else's power cord that you know works. Other wise, its dead, get a new PS2 slim.

Wrap an elastic band around the wire, make it tight an it sometimes works

I have the same problem. At first if I wiggled the powere supply cord, and pulled it in one direction, it worked. After a while it wouldn't turn on at all. I ordered another supply cord, but no luck. I opened up the PS2 to see if I could see anything. The male terminal which the power supply plugs into, has three solder joints on the bottom of the terminal. Mine had the main solder joint broke loose. I am going to try resoldering it back on. I will post again if it works. If not will probably just buy another one.

My slim playstation 2 is not working need answer quick

Haha i understand your distress :) if your slim ps2 is not turning on, first check and make sure that all your wires and stuff are all plugged in to EVERYTHING. also, make sure your outlet works too. corroded electrical outlets wont work. Also, make sure your PS2 cooler is not blocked in any sort of way. if you need any more issues, just ask :) ~~RJ~~
