SOURCE: Wide variation in temperature in

Amana refrigerators older than 5 years have both a cold control and freezer control. this may be your problem. But check both the gaskets on the doors and check for heavy dirt on condser coil. Both can cause wild temp problems. Hope this helps

Illogical ADC assembly (updated info)

Check your coils to see if they are dirty. If they are underneath the refrigerator you can vacuum them as best you can, or if you have access to an air compressor, you could try blowing them clean. Too much dirt on the coils can make you unit work harder and cause warmer temps. What is your temperature in the freezer section. You only need 32 degrees to freeze things, but it should be down below 10 degrees for everything else to work right. Hope this helps!

What is the correct temperature for a daewoo fridge freezer

Your freezer should be in the range of -2 degrees to +2 degrees. Your fresh food section should be in the range of 35-40 degrees.

You only have one cooling source and that is the evaporator coil in your freezer. The freezer will attempt to satisfy the freezer temperature setting first. Having met that it will open the air damper to your fresh food section. Such a high freezer temperature will cause freezer burn on your food. It is also a waste of electricity, where the compressor is always running to meet the high demand

What should the temperature inside the refrigerator be, I have it set at 37

On the fresh food side you have it set at the proper temperature. Most thermostats have a scale from 1 to 7 or 9. If you set the thermostat at 5 this equates to about 37 degrees. Thermostat do lose sensitivity after a while and need to be replaces. The switch inside the thermostat wears out and the sensing bulb sometimes loses the fluid inside the sensor and the thermostat stops controlling temperature. So sounds like you have it set properly.

The high temp light is on. What can I do to reset it? Everything seems frozen and fine in the frezzer

HIGH-TEMP ALARM SWITCH (SOME MODELS)
An audible
alarm will sound if the freezer temperature reaches
unsafe levels. The alarm operates on household electricity. If
the power
fails, the alarm will not perform.
An ON/OFF switch
allows the high temperature alarm to be
deactivated if desired. NOTE: You must open the
freezer door to
view the alarm switch. The
freezer is shipped with the switch in
the OFF position.
After the freezer has run longenough to
lower the temperature, you
may set the switch to the ON
position.
To activate the alarm, set the switch
to the ON position.
To deactivate the alarm, set the switch to the OFF position

i got this from the freezer manual from Kenmore hope this was helpful

GE gsl25jfpabs Profile. Water stopped coming out of dispenser. Frozen? New valve? Help

Yes, probably frozen. Open the door, minimize the freezer setting in the refridgerator section, and try out the dispenser every once in a while until you get water to flow. Might take a couple of hours so make sure you have a backup freezer or a big cooler for your food.
