Memory I just got a new Sandisk 2GB memory card. I was told it was compatible with the Motorola Razr V3i, and I put it in the clip as directed. I turned the phone off and back on and all that. Now, I went to format it because it seemed the problem was that it wasn't formatted but when I click OK to "Format now?" and agree to erasing all data, it tells me "Format failed. Salamz brothers! it is simple many people face this problem so, kindly check your mobiles' those pins which touch the memory card on back side of your mobile. There you will must see one or two pins would have gone punched due to sometime wrong inserting of memory card. just correct those pins and INSHA ALLAH your mobile will must detect your card. Hope it will solve your problem.

If u purchased orginal one it doesnt get problem, if its duplicate one it seems the same mgs again and again (sd card has dameged u cant use the same one, u wnat to replace the card) ... V3 support least 512mb card only not more than 512mb if use more 512mb capacity card the handset will get hanged.

Hi neilmadhar my name is arjun saxena. Well my MOTORAZR V3i had the same problem. The reason is that your memory card is corrupted because of some virus or file or removing it frequently. Just buy another memory card of whatever space. It will work. I am 101% sure. Trust me. Your MOTO RAZR V3i has a card holder which holds and reads the card. Don't worry, there is no problem with that reader. THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CARD. Doesn't read my SanDisk memory card

Here's what you do;
go back to the store, smack the clerk upside the head for giving you bad advice, and trade the 4gb for a 2gb.. (or the razr for another phone). The V3m doesn't support SDHC cards; only SD ones. SD are 2gb and below, while the HC (high capacity) are 4gb and up.

does your motorola Razr have a Memory Card Slot?

is you Razr model is V3re or V3 only.. (this models doesn't have MMC slot)

is your razr is V3i or v3x or v3xx then the MMC slot is located at the back closed to SIM card.

i think a v3i phone can't really recognize a memory card of that capacity..i suggest you try smaller sized memory cards as 512mb works fine for my v3i

If you have 512Mb Motorol Card Then Copy All Folders From 512MB Card, Past Those Folders into 1 or 2 GB Card.And Insert it into Motorla Mobile Then Restart Your Mobile and Your Card is Active..........
