You should have two antenna inputs A & B. Most commonly the RF or TV output on the back of the cable box is connected to antenna A and the TV has to be set for channel 3 or 4 depending on which station is not available in your area. If you don't get a picture on 3 or 4 then switch the cable box to antenna B or find the switch on the remote that allows you to remotly switch antenna inputs. If your TV has a connection that says "cable out" don't use that one as that is for a more complex setup. I hope this helps you.

Try to download the repair manual to your set from internet. It sounds that you have to get into its service mode adjustments. All details are in the repair manual.

Mitsubishi vs-45609 rear projection tv -- picture is snow when turned on; but, I can view a movie thru CD or VHS tape and picture is fine....worked fine day before

First you may want to check all of your cable connections, splitters or boosters if you have any. Then if possible try to connect another tv or vcr to the same cable to see if you get anything, this might help confirm either the tv or cable signal is the problem. If it is the tv then you may have a tuner problem and unless you are well versed in tv repair you`ll need the help from a local repairman.
Hope this will help. Good luck
