SOURCE: i did a hard disk self test and it said #10008 replace hard disk.
there is some problem in your Hard disk.
You can defragment all drives.
if the problem still there, you can try to format your disk.

i had this problem perplexed me for ages go on google and find hdd regenarator there are places were u can download it for free not that i condone that when uve loaded it up you will see a bit that asked you if you want to make a disc make the disc and pop it in your computer it will boot up from disc and ask you what you want to do find and fix errrors takes bout 45mins but completly fixed my laptop when i was going to give up and get new harddrive hope it works for others.good luck barry

Replacing the hard drive will give you a clean drive with nothing on it, not even an OS.

Your hard disk has a damaged area. Apparently this is close to the end of the storage area. Since there are no software in that area, you will have no problem. (Because the OS not trying to access any files in the damaged area).
Try not to fill the hard disk more than 80%. If files are written in the damaged area, you will experience problems with your laptop.
