Swap out the ram one at a time testing to see if you can power up, making sure there is one in the memory slot at all times, if this works the piece in your hand is defective, no difference! the motherboard has major issues.
Power cord? In fact if the power cord is bad you will not had a battery charge either,so check this. Also Did you plug the power without the battt? Is this power up th lap? If not the Power cord is the problem.

hi, the problem could be from rust of the connector of the battery, open the battery case of the appliances and clean the connectors with a cloth soaked with methylated spirit, if this do not work, try opening the back cover of the appliances to check if the wire connecting the connector to the printed circuit board of the appliances is intact. Also check for dry soldering, if found resolder.
If it is working fine with a fresh battery then it is not a motherboard problem. It is either a bad ac adapter jack on the motherboard or the actual ac adapter cord is not working. Try cables2go.com as they have replacement ac adapters for almost everything under the sun. Hope this helps.
did it start by it seeming to have a connection problem. The pins in Laptops tend to get loose. Or the box on your ac adapter could have blown. Best bet.... order a new AC. You can search ebay or the web for one
