Does washer spin without any clothes or water, try 'spin' only. If no, then u might have a loose connection to the motor. After u disconnect from the wall socket, see behind to see if all connections are ok. Do not over-load your machine, it could trip a switch which will stall things. Suggestions...
Could be a broken belt or a bad motor. The easiest way to tell if the belt is bad is to reach inside the drum and turn it. If it turns very easily, you probably have a bad belt or something has caused the belt to jump off, such as a loose pulley or bad bearing. If it feels like there is a good amount of resistance, or a kind of "winding up" noise, then the belt is still on and you likely have a bad motor. Also, you could just scoot the machine out, unplug it, and remove the back cover a look inside to see if the belt is still on the pulleys.
Did u clean out your outlet filter. If u did.....
Go to 'troubleshooting' above, click on page 2, look for 'replacing lid switch' Generic Problem. Click there. Catriver is pretty good.
