I've had a similar problem with another model, an Oregon Scientific Model IWA-80055 Wireless Thermo Clock, in which when I replaced the batteries in the remote sensor, the clock would not read the temperature from the remote sensor.
I found it fairly consistent to solve this by taking a battery out of place in the clock and putting it back in.  Unfortunately this also messed up the clock's time and date.  This is also in the instructions catalogue for the device, check and see if yours gives a similar solution.

I replaced the batteries in the outdoor sensor and put them in and out several times (didn't work). But now I realize that the solution suggested by Lamp post is to take out a battery in the RECEIVING unit and put it right back in. Worked like a charm.

1. Take the cover off the back of the remote sensor.
2. Set the chanel to ch.1. (I tried all three but only ch.1 worked for me).
3. Use a stick, needle, or whatever you can but you need two) and hold down the reset button on both the sensor and the clock at the same time.

If done right, it should only take a few seconds to start.
The outside temp is delayed at first. Be patient.

Channel 3 worked for me on the sending unit . I took one battery out of the receiver ,then put it back in - it took a minute .Now the outside temperature works like a charm with special thanks ! to Lamp Post ,and Cat's Meow for both of their comments about this model - Wireless Thermometer.

Inserted paperclip into the reset slots of the remote sensor then base station. Pen or pencil is insufficient.

Eddie Bauer Thermo Clock 0465 - I replaced batteries in both the sensor as well as the sensing unit, and couldn't get the outside temp to read. I then slid the 'CH' (channel) button from far left position to the far right (3), and then back to the far left position, and everything started working. I had to reset the time and date (triggered by holding in the 'Mode' button and toggling to the appropriate area, reset using the 'ADJ' button. Works like a charm now.

My oregon scientific indoor outdoor weather station with atomic clock just stopped picking up the outdoor readings, it won't switch to that channel any longer. tried removing and reinstalling the battery,...

I had the same problem, Since the outside temp wouldn't read, I figured it was the outside unit batteries. Went through half a dozen AAA batteries and wouldn't read. It was the indoor unit. Had the same bats I installed 3 years ago. DUH! Replaced the AAA, and all was well. When the inside batteries die out, it has just enough juice to read indoor temp, but not enought to sense exterior signal.

Oregon scientific IWA 80055 Outside temp won't display and I have replaced the batteries on the sending unit and it blinks two times every few seconds.

I have the same unit (IWA-80055) and after not finding anything helpful on the net, I just messed with it until I got it fixed. Here's what to do:

1. Take the cover off the back of the remote sensor.

2. Set the chanel to ch.1. (I tried all three but only ch.1 worked for me).

3. Use several tools. (i.e. a stick, needle, what ever you can but you need two) and hold down the reset button on both the sensor and the clock. (at the same time.)

If done right, it should only take a few seconds to start.

The outside temp is delayed at first. Be patient.

I changed the batteries in my atomic wireless thermo clock and now it wont give me out temp

The easiest way to fix this is to either take the battery out of the clock, which will reset the clock, or use a paper clip to press the reset button on the back of the clock.

Oregon Scientific Radio controlled Thermo Clock RMR382A -

Check the channel mode that you are in. I play with the channel /memory buttons on mine and I finally get it to work. Sometimes it worksfor weeks sometimes just a day. Just glad I can get it to work - thought it was the remote unit but I was wrong.

Resetting the atomic clock to the correct time zone, and outside temp to work.

For the Sharp SPC374T Atomic Clock - Time Zone setting- Press the 'Time' button once, the time zone will show where 'Day' usually is, use the Up or Down buttong to adjust.

For the outdoor Thermo, credit to my neighbor for this one. Remove battery from main unit, wait 2-3 minutes. Reload batteries. Once you get a reading from the outdoor sensor, hit the reset on the main unit. You will have to reset the time zone as described above, but this worked for me after 10 months of no outside temp showing up!

Good luck,
