My blender is leaking and I know my gasket is in the correct place. I think it is leaking through the cutting blade shaft so the seal/packing inside the shaft is likely bad.

SOURCE: cuisinart sealing gasket

The gasket goes between the cutting assembly and the glass. So you slip it on over the top of the blades and then put the glass jar over top of that. Screw the bottom cap on to tighten everything together.

The thermal fuse is blown. You can buy a replacement from RadioShack for $1.69 You have to remove the old one and solder in the new one. If youre "handy" its very easy. Take it to a repair shop, you pay about the same as a new one. Its too bad that most electronics made today are cheaper to throw away and buy a new one rather than fix them when they break.

There is probably a hairline fracture or tiny crack in the blade assembly itself - replace the blade assembly - it will automatically come with a gasket, so you will have an extra.

`my blender leaks out the things i put in it

The seal on the rotating shaft has either worn out or hardened and if constructed like most, the seal cannot be replaced since the chopping blade and shaft are permanently fastened together. Your only recourse is to buy a new blade assembly which should be available.
I would search for it with the model number of the blender and 'cutter' or 'blade' assembly.

Blender container leaks even though gasket is in place

Hey, I know this is an old thread but just had the same problem and solved it. With the blender container upside down, place the gasket on the jar hole, put the blade through the hole on top of the gasket, then screw the plastic base on top of that.

The way I had done it before was to pop the blade into the bottom of the plastic base first then screw it onto the gasket and jar but it goes on the gasket, not under the bottom of the base. Hope that helps anyone else in the future.

Also just read the manual instructions like I didn't, clear as day right there but I never bothered to read them ha

Cuisinart model # SPB-6 (tx) leaking when unit is together, seal is in place, still leaking. Unit is not damaged, please advise.

Check if leaking at the bearing for the blade.

If the bearing has worn, dis-assemble and coat shaft with food-safe grease and re-assemble. Also coat the seals with the grease.
