Didn't update in time? Do a manual update At this point, you'll need to update your device manually. It'll require you to grab a USB cable and do the install with your Kindle connected a computer. Here's how:

It appears that icebox has gone out of business. The ct04 is supposed to automatically update every night at 2am on whichever day you first activated it. You can also do this manually, and I put directions how to at the end, but if they are closed the servers that these updates come from are probably no longer working. There is a third way of updating. Their manual states that some updates were issued on CDs. So you might be able to find one of the later updates this way, keeping in mind that they almost certainly won't be very current.

To manually update.
1. In internet mode, press options and select internet options.
2. From the internet options menu, select Updates.
3. Choose the Check For Updates button.
4. After it checks for updates choose the Update Now Button. It will then download and install the update. After it restarts you will see a Update Complete message. Click OK.

To update by CD.
1. Insert the Update disc.
2. The system will display update information. Choose the Update Now button.
3. When finished it will display the Update Complete message, choose OK.
