Printing i have just refilled the ink on my printer but the light is still flashing to say that its empty. does any one know how to flush the ink through, or what to do?

These cartridges don't have anything internally to check for new ink. They simply work on a basis of counting pages and page coverage to estimate ink levels. As such it is perfectly normal for your printer to warn of low ink once the cartridge has been refilled.

A low ink warning in itself should not stop your printer from printing though. If it does it is likely that the light is actually indicating a problem recognising the cartridge after refilling. I would recommend cleaning the copper contacts on the front of the cartridge and checking for any messages on the connected PC or laptop for more information.

Flashing light signals you that your cartridge ink is empty. Sorry to know you're in trouble with your printer. Here are my suggestions: You have to buy a new genuine cartridge or you can refill ink. Be warned! Refilling ink or using a refilled ink cartridges will not work until the ink cartridge chip or ink monitor is disabled. Printer or Cartridge, more or less, cost you the same. Don't you think the printer cartridges should be made simply refillable/usable unless they are broken, and we should be buying only the ink for the cartridges. It is SO ANNOYING, dude! Good luck.

Hi you need a new black ink. it may be empty or faulty.
The machine dos not measure the amount of ink in the tank it only counts the amount of squirts you have used normally its only a problem with refiled inks

The lights are flashing because you are using refilled cartridges. The printer "sees" those cartridges as empty, since it can not know that someone has refilled them. When you put in new cartridges, the lights will stop flashing.
Just ignore the lights and print!

Although it is possible to take the Brother printers apart, it is too difficult for most people.

Therefore, what we suggest is to make cleaning cartridges using the Dr.EpSUN Refill Tool...
Then use them to flush the print head (usually at the end of long tubes near to the back of the Brother printer)
*NEVER TOUCH THE WHITE star shaped PIN... under ink cartridges... because once pessed in... it cannot be used !
Also in most cases a single cleaning cartridge for black and 1 for colour is all you will need.
If you only have FULL INKS and need to make a cleaning cartridge use Dr.EpSUN Refill Tool to empty ink cart...
Save the ink in a clean glass jar or similar make cleaning cartridge then once unclogged simply use Dr.EpSUN Refill Tool
to refill with your saved ink.

How to make Brother Cleaning Cartridges

Using FREE Dr.EpSUN Refill Tool.
To refill Brother inks... or if printer has been left unused and you need to unclog print head? (To make a cleaning cartridges *Fill empties with Magic Inkjet Flush instead of Ink / Then print rectangles using Magic Inkjet to FLUSH print heads once prints appear without white lines simply replace with inks and continue printing rectangles untill all Magic has been flushed out of print head.)

How to refill Empties...
1. Secure empty Brother ink cartridge UPSIDE DOWN in a vice or similar.
2. ONLY HALF fill Dr.EpSUN Refill Tool with warm Magic Inkjet Flush (or correct color Ink if refilling with ink)
3. Then Holding Dr.EpSUN Refill Tool upright... cover metal tip with a tissue and expell any trapped air until ink appears.
4. Insert metal tip into circular ink outlet hole of upturned cartridge... until black rubber makes a GOOD seal.
Holding both securely...
5. Do NOT TRY TO FILL Instead. PULL UP on the plunger of Dr.EpSUN REFILL TOOL.
6. Air will bubble up through the Magic/ink whilst escaping from cartridge creating a vacum.
7. Now... Simply allow plunger to retract and the Magic/ink will automatically refill the cartridge for you.
8. STOP filling before the Dr.EpSUN Refill Tool is empty otherwise air will entering.
9. Repeat until ink cartridge is full.

How to FLUSH a BROTHER print head.

10. Place filled cartridge into printer and you are ready to print.
Use print head cleaning to prime which will also fill the ink tubes... then....
11. Print rectangles of the problem colour(s) using test sheets (see below) to prime ink.

As found in the manual, here are the print test sheets for printing rectangles depending on colour(s) with problem.
Just choose... Yellow, Magenta, Grey Tones etc...

Once prints appear to be normal simply replace the Magic Inkjet Flush with ink cartridges and continue printing rectangles untill flushed.

Hi NO it will not stop.
If you are out of ink just replace them. The printer will try to print even when empty.

You can easily refill those if you wish.

If your inkjet printer has been off for some time? you may need to unclog or replace the inks if clogged? But if you still have ink you can easily revive them with a Magic Inkjet Flush print head cleaning kit

may be your refilled ink cartridge fail so replace with new cartridge

Sometimes refilling them over and over doesn't work well. Once ok...but i suggest that you buy a new cartridge. I know that they are expensive but it will help. Also take some Rubbing alchohol and a q-tip...clean inside where the cartridge sits..that will help...this is for sure a bad ink cartridge
