I have a Casio Exilim EX-Z10 zoom, and it was working perfectly fine with a memory card. Recently i have gone to use my camera and it wont work when the memory card is inserted. it works without it, but this is useless as it only holds 1 picture. when i insert the memory card, the green light flashes once and nothing happens. i have tried to buy another SD memory card, and again, the same thing happens.

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
You MUST FIRST format ANY memory card that you plan on using with this camera. Otherwise we can't guarantee that they will work. Also, Casio has only tested 3 brands of memory cards and can say for sure that they will work with their cameras.....those brands are Toshiba, Panasonic and Sandisc. If it is neither of the above I would recommend getting a different card and making sure that you format it WITH THE CAMERA BEFORE USING. :)
Same problem. My camera is 3 weeks old. I dropped it at a short distance onto a wooden floor and it immediately said my memory card was locked. I took the memory card out, it was not locked. I tried 4 different cards and they all say the same thing. If I take the memory card out, the camera runs fine on internal memory, but only holds about 8 pics. I've tried everything. Please help!!
Make sure it's a Sandisc, Toshiba, or Panasonic memory card. No bigger than 2 MB unless you have done a firmware upgrade. Try formatting memory card and if that doesn't work then you will have to get a different memory card.
Make sure that the SD card you are using is either a SanDisc, Toshiba, or Panasonic. Those are the only cards that have been tested with Casio cameras. Also make sure that you format the card WITH THE CAMERA before you try and use it the first time.
If it still doesn't work I would try resetting the camera and then you should have no problem.
