See guys...i bought this phone from the US....and i'm an indian...so i had to buy some converters for all the adaptors..well before buying it...i tryed and plugged in the main phone...it worked well...sadly only for a while and it suddenly stopped...coz of too much Volts from the indian plugg....ok so i bought the converters...and bought a better and good adaptor for the main thingy and it was fine.....for few days.....then after abt a week we wanted to shift it to the 2nd floor....i unplugged it and plugged it into the "UPS"...and there was a sound from the UPS...with a red light....the phone got on...but after the beep of the UPS it switched off......ok fine we took it outa there and put it on a normall plugg with the converter and phew!! it worked again....but this time there was no light in the phone's screen and as it starts it says "UNIDEN" then immedeatly it says the error "E4".....i don't know whtever it is....so guys please i mean please help me out...the bad part it i can't send it back all the way to USA.....please help if u can!!
Having the same problem please suggest a solution
We called Uniden on their 800 number 1-800-297-1023. After hearing about the "E4" problem, they said that something had "corroded" in the base unit, and that we would have to buy a new one (!?!). I think buying a Uniden product in the future is straight out of the picture for us. Your mileage may vary.
