The Sony VAIO CR-36 is not the complete model name, and so you may not have been able to find the right drivers on the Sony support site. On the tag underneath it should have a model number starting with VGN-CR363 or VGN-CR360 and then one or two letters. Support for these models (Vista Only) is here:

However, I believe the 'downgrade' XP drivers are located on the Sony Asia-Pacific website at this link :)
