Lamp is on but not no signal from projector coming out !!!

My friend just gifted me an Epson Powerlite S1. It had no lamp so I ordered a new one from Epson. I replaced the lamp and checked, it was working partially fine as on RGB cable it was all red tint display and on video rc cable (driect from DVD) it was working fine. In three days I transported it back home and there when it turned it on, lamp light is on with no display signal from projector, just blank lamp light. Pleas advice ! Thanks and regards Tauseef Baig

I have the same problem. The lamp is on but there is only white light coming out -- no blue screen & projector display like usual. I tried changing the bulb but it didn't work.

Worked fine for a long time. Now, even when I switched cables etc. it only shows a lite. I cannot get them Menu to work or any other display.

    Any ideas?

I figured it out. open it up, and make sure the ribbon cables are securely plugged in.

How do I reset the Lamp Timer on my Epson Powerlite 5000?

Have you replaced the lamp yet? You should replace the lamp because if you reset it with the old lamp, it could possibly wear out and explode inside the projector. Reset instructions are in the new lamp box.
