Sound works but there is no display on the monitor. it worked for the first few days then now cant see nothing. Does the park brake wire have to be hooked up in order to show the display cause i know it...

  • Yes it does. The emergency brake wire is a safety feature. If you don't have it hooked up it won't even display anything. If you do have it hooked up then you have to have the emergency brake engaged to be able to view DVD'S. The manufacturer does this so people can't just unhook the brake wire and watch DVD'S while driving

XO VIson DVD 7" works fine but when it is turned

sounds like you might have the wire that is always supposed to have power hooked to a switched power source

is it possible you hooked up power wires wrong

sounds like switched wire is hooked to battery and battery connection is hooked to switched source

only other option would be if ground is hooked incorrectly it should be hooked diretly to clean non painted metallic spot on cars body

if you need more help give me more details and i will try to help more

Good luck

Hi all car dvd players have a emergency brake safety feature. The pink wire is to be spliced into your emergency brake wire, or there is a code you can purchase to bypass this feature.

What would be the best way to bypass the E-Brake on a Jensen VM92

If you have the old firmware then all you need to do is ground the parking brake wire
OR
if you have the new firmware(just bought the system) a toggle switch is involved:
1 - connect e-brake wire from dvd unit to the switch
2 - connect a ground wire from switch to the unit chassis(any good metal grounding surface will do)
3 - pop in a dvd, toggle the switch back and forth 2 or 3 times depending on what wire you placed where...and voilaa!! your dvd system should work in motion!!

Bypassing car dvd parking brake

Usually the wire should be grounded. Connect the wire to a ground point via a switch (is illegal to watch TV/DVD while you're driving)
