I have several problems that won't go away. "Empty Tray" problem after implementing all the fixes from this site. "Circuit Breaker Blows on using steamer" problem. Is there a way to get a look inside to see if I can discover the cause of these problems? are there any disassembly instructions anywhere?

Hi
There`s probably an leakage from the steamblock, and the water flows over the contacts. This will short circuit the machine. Contact your dealer or nearest servicepartner and they will fix it with a new water connector.

I had a similar problem. I took off the side and rear cover, followed the hose that comes from the steam wand to the rear of hte unit. It enters a solenoid made by ACL Italy. I dismantled the solenoid unit by disconnecting the two hose ends, removing the relay, and unscrewing the plunger unit (vertical pipe). The plunger unit internals should move freely up and down like a piston in a cylinder , powered by a small spring. In my unit, this plunger was calcified and seized. I soaked it in boiling water and pressed on it gently several times and it unstuck. I put it all back together again and presto! Good luck

Kris I have this same problem. Did you figure out how to replace the flap or did you have to take it in for repair.
Does anyone else know how to replace this plastic flap?

Where the contacts attach to the drip tray on the inside is where I had some coffee ground "sludge". It was making a weak electrical connection between the two contacts. As soon as I took a fine scrubber sponge to get rid of the build up - the Empty Tray message went away when I put the tray back in.
