Those cables are RCA jacks. You need to connect all 3...red white yellow. You dont need 5 like in the video. So on DVD Player connect red to red ...yellow to yellow.....white to white. Connect to audio/video out. Then on TV connect audio/video in or input same way red to red ...and so on.

SOURCE: No picture while playing DVD or VHS tape

Your unit has it seems to have developed a video problem. it could be in the video switching IC or the video processor. Its going to need a trained technician, who knows how to use an ocilliscope to find the video problem.. Good Luck

SOURCE: how to fix a insagnia dvd player

Simply put. Don't ever purchase an Insignia product ever. I Have the same problem with a product I purchased just over 3 months ago, and the Insignia Customer service rep Sandra Larraburu gave no help to me other than the following solutions.
1. Make sure all the cables are plugged in right (Are you serious Sandra?)
2. Try a different DVD (I told her in my original email that I had even been trying different DVD players, so of course that was done)
3. UnPlug it (Is this a solution?)
4. Plug it back in (O....kay)

Then she proceeded to tell me that because the manufacturer's warranty had expired after 90 days, that I was entitled to no resolve.

Note Insignia states this "All of us here at Insignia strive to provide the best quality products
and a
great customer care experience"

If that is the sign of a company striving, I've learned my lesson.
No Insignia for me again.

SOURCE: tevion player shows BAD DISC,

Since the unit is under warranty, you can't touch anything without voiding the warranty. This problem could be as simple as a dirty lens. Bring the unit in for repair under warranty.

Im trying to connect my coby dvd player to my samsui tv

Hi Maria,
You can hear the sound means your TV and the DVD player are working well. May be the video connecting cord ( yellow connector) between the TV and DVD player has gone bad. Please try replacing it. For testing, you can interchange it with any of the two sound connecting cords which have white and red connectors. I hope it helps.

WHEN MY FRIEND'S TEVION TELEVISION MODEL No. 3241TS IS TURNED ON, A PICTURE FLASHES ON THEN DISAPPEARS. SOUND IS STILL ON BUT NO PICTURE. THE SAME APPLIES IF CONNECTING AND PLAYING A DVD.

That sounds like the inverter board. I would go online and search for the inverter board for that model TV. Replacing it is a very simple task once you take the back of the TV off.

I have a Protron LCD 26" TV model#LT26CIPI...The tv was working great turned it off on night and in the morning turned it back on to sound but no picture just a Black screen...when you change channels

Since its a LCD take a flashlight and have the room as dark as possible and with the light look to see if a very very faint image of the picture can be seen or not---many of these sets use a "back light" for the brightness and if that's not on.......

No Picture on HDMI using Philips DVP5992.

You can try out by connecting the CVBS (Yello) out from player to TV and connect HDMI out from Player to TV. Goto CVBS input on Sony TV. Select set up and you should get the HDMI Video options availble. Try to change the resulution and check for Video on HDMI source.
Which disc you were playing PAL or NTSC? PAL should work for Europe.

I have a tevion dvd player, but when i load a dvd the picture is pink. i cannot get any colour

If your TV is otherwise working properly then its a problem with the DVD or the DVD player itself. Try a different DVD, Change the cable which goes from the DVD player to the TV.

Thanks

Dvd -no picture

Sometimes the displays can't be sent to another tv or monitor. Make sure that isn't turned on. Sometimes there can be a short in the wiring if your unit folds up to play like a notebook computer. You can try moving the screen back and forth and see if the picture changes. If neither of these solutions work, contact audiovox and see if it is cover under warranty.

Here is the website:

DVD PLAYS GREAT, TV AND VCR PLAY IN BLK-WHT W/NO SOUND

You have your DVD connected to your VCR, which is then connected to your TV, right? The problem is Macrovision. It's designed to prevent you from connecting your DVD player to your VCR, so that you can't make duplicates of copyrighted movies. It's a real pain in the neck. Try turning the DVD player off - or better yet, unplugging its power cord (as some DVD players are always in a standby mode, even when turned off). If that fixes the problem, then you need to reconnect your DVD player directly to the TV, not wired through the VCR. If your DVD player isn't wired through the VCR, are you using some kind of wire splitter (one cable branches into two) to connect both the DVD player and VCR? That can also cause this kind of interference, if both have power at the same time. There are video switches you can get to work around that. Here's one such switch (first I found for a decent price with a google search): http://www.pickeasy.com/20070827-video-selector-switch-video-game-p-555.html Hope that helps.
