UN-PLUG YOUR FRIG !!!! THEN LOOK BEHIND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FRIG FOR THE COMPRESSOR ...CAREFULLY REMOVE THE TERMINAL COVER FOR THE COMPRESSOR ... IT USUALLY HAS A SMALL METAL CLIP THAT HOLDS THE COVER ON. OR SOME MODELS HAVE A SCREW OR TWO THAT YOU MAY HAVE TO UN-DO. LOOK TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY BURNT-OFF OR BARE-WIRES TOUCHING THE CONTROL BOX OR COMPESSOR BODY. THATS WERE MOST OF THE SHORTS OR BURNT OFF WIRES ARE FOUND. THERE IS A CAPACITOR AND A START RELAY MOUNTED ON THE COMPRESSOR ... BE CAREFUL NOT TO REMOVE WIRES AND FORGET WERE THEY CONNECT. I WILL CHECK BACK TO SEE IF THAT WAS THE AREA OF THE PROBLEM ... THER ARE AFEW MORE ...BUT TRY THE COMPRESSOR AREA FIRST.

What would be the part number for this main control board switch?

I'm not sure you can buy just the switch, more likely you'll have to get the entire board. What site are you looking at?

Repair water dispensor Electrolux Icon 22.6 cu. ft. Counter-Depth Refrigerator

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you want to repair the water dispenser on your Electrolux Icon refrigerator. Typically, this is not a do it yourself job, as well as there are no instruction manuals that give step-by-step instructions. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They are trained on your particular model, and will be able to diagnose as well as determine if there are any other parts that might be needed for repair. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Please tell them that I believe you may have problems with either your thermostat controls or your compressor start relay. They appear to be very helpful, Thanks Sea Breeze If you listed a model sold in the USA I don't believe the ER1799C is sold here.

Fault code EF is flashing on my Electrolux fridge FSC23R5DSB6. What does this code mean?

EF on the Electrolux refrigerator digital display means "evaporator fan."

The long answer is, it doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong with your Electrolux refrigerator.

Turn the power off on the digital display and carefully unplug the refrigerator from the power source. Leave the refrigerator unplugged for three to five minutes. Plug the refrigerator back in and give the refrigerator a few minutes then turn the power button back on. Press the default button on the display and see if the EF code goes away.

Electrolux recommends that you do not plug the refrigerator into an outlet that has a reset button. If your refrigerator is plugged into one of these outlets, try plugging it into another outlet and see if the refrigerator resets itself.

Hope this helps.

there is a fan inside freezer behind back panel. if pipework behind panel is covered with ice, it will prevent air circulation and the fridge is affected first

Maytag Side by Side RSW22EO Refidgerator Freezer , not cold enough. I have a older Maytag (Model No. RSW22EO) Refrigerator/Freezer that uses "R-12 Refrigerant". 3 days ago I noticed it was not keeping things as cold as usual. I tried setting the temperature adjustments to their lowest setting and checked back 24 hours later, and while it did get the freezer to keep things somewhat frozen, both sides (fridge and freezer) are certainly not getting cold enough. I have not checked actual temperatures, ( as I don't have a thermometer), but it is obvious it is not working properly. I pulled the fridge away from the wall and checked to see if dust had excessively accumulated on the radiator and condenser, but since I blow it out yearly, there was very minimal dust accumulation. To my novice ears and eyes, the compressor and fan appear to be working properly, but I can only attest to compressor having a slight vibration and the fan is spinning, but of coarse, that does not meant they are actually functioning at peak performance. My guess is it is low on R-12 Refrigerant, which will require a professional with a EPA 602 license, not to mention limited availability and the ridiculous cost of R-12 refrigerant. If you have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot the problem, I would be very grateful. I have only a basic multi-meter for electrical testing, and I do not have any means or skill to test refrigerant levels.
