Buzzing sound from interior light bulbs

Whirlpool conquest side by side 4yrs old / working fine / yesterday buzzing sound from interior light bulbs ?/last night was a storm / buzzing intensified with bulbs flickering /ice maker dispenses ice and water comes from water but all else stopped /control lights out and no cooling /removed food /no idea ?? help thank you/

Sounds like you have an issue withthe electronic control board locates behind refrig next to the compresssor, in a white housing

My whirlpool conquest gold has no light on inside they just went out ,it still run fine but there is no lights inside .the freezer still have lights ...

Could be the Bulb, Door Switch, or Light bulb Socket

Whirlpool Gold Conquest refrigerator side light bulb flickers/buzzes and display lights don't light. The bulb is good. If I pull the bulb the display lights and frig works properly.

This may not be the problem now but by the sound of the malfunctioning electronics, it could be in the future. The start device on some models of refridgerator for maytag and whirlpool have been recalled. If your appliance was manufactured in the last 5-10 years you may be having an issue with this component. I had the same problem. There is a main controller board at the bottm of the refrigerator near the back by the compressor motor. One of the components on the board shorted out and the board had to be replaced. Total cost about $150.

With sounds like that I would use caution if installing a light bulb there. The sound and description sounds like a short circuit. Did this happen recently? Could you get me the complete model number, for example GS6SHEXN

your problem on this is the main control in the compressor compartment. unplug your refrig then remove this control unplug all connectors and reconnect. this will probably get you working temporarily In almost every case I've seen we ended up replacing the control board. thx peyton

Light out and weird sound

check the wiring at the light bulb socket for a loose conection
also check the center connector of the light socket

Whirlpool gold refridgerator light not working and is making funny noise

Had the identical symptoms with my Whirlpool Gold GS6SHEXNB00 side-by-side refrigerator. Had a technician come on site, indicated it was the "circuit board/ timer" (Whirlpool part # 1394052). Board is accessible from behind fridge (lower left side in a white plastic housing to left of compressor).

Swapped the board out (noticed a scorched circuit on the old circuit board). Lightbulbs now work, temperature readouts also good to go.
