I couldn't figure out how to add a thing for mine sorry, my machine is a tacony.. model number FA-860 serial number 3958. on the front of the machine it say's american home.. i cant find any user's manual or needles for my machine any help would be greatly appriciated, because i dont know much about older machines.. i also cant get the button presserfoot to work... thanks
Tacony is a trade name and not the make, the name took over from Montgomery ward when the stores where in business, they were taken over by Sears and now owned by the Tacony group, the chances are your machine was made by one of the major manufacturers such a Juki,Brother, or one of many others, the best thing to do is to take one of your needles to a dealer to match it up, have a look all over the machine, you may find a manufactures name somewhere, not good chances of getting a book.

Does it have a Stitch Width control? If not, it is probably a limited stitch only. Most Tacsew machines are made for high speed industrial sewing and frequently are made to perform a limited number of stitches. It appears this is a blindstitch for hemming.
