Question about Eiki LC NB2UW Multimedia Projector

LC-NB2UW on/off problem

Eike LC NB2UW projector has worked fine for over six years. Today it would not shut off, either with the remote or manually (by pushing the on/off button on the set). Unit is currently unplugged, but why would the unit not shut off? Is there an internal relay switch or something that may be burned out or shorted out or something? Thanks. Joe

if the time is always about the same, then blocked air filters should be cleaned. if there is no sufficient air inflow, temperature inside will become above maximum rating and PJ will shut down.

It sounds like it is overheating. Are the fans all working? If so, try opening the casing and blowing all the dust out with a can of air from Staples/Office Depot. If the fans aren't working you may need to replace them.

I have the exact problem. I have been using a portable fan next to the projector to keep it cooler it allows me to use the projector for work. I know that this is not the "fix" but it helps. If someone has the solution, I would like to fix the projector.
