I want to put music on my new phone. the LG VU but dont know how

I have an SD card and an adapter to put it in the computer but i dont have an usb cable. can i still put music on it?

    I also have LG VU and can not get music on to my phone, the best buy cord does not work. Also someone said that their is one at wal-mart but I can't find it at the website. What do I do ?

YES you CAN put music on your phone without USB cable!!! just drag and drop music from your computer to your SD card/adapter(usually F: drive) , click SD card into LG Vu (make sure "connection", in "settings" is set to "mass storage" on phone!

You can't get Music on it without a USB Cable. I got mine at Wal-Mart and it Costs $15.00. DO NOT Get the Cable that Best Buy has that says (Charge your Cell on your Computer) It will NOT Work for Music. Wal-Mart is your Best Bet.

You dont need a disk to transfer your pictures from your phone to your computer, you can either transfer them via usb cord but make sure you save them onto a memory card and that way when you pull in usb cable they will be read Or you can save them into a micro sd card and then put that into sd card adapter and insert that into the computer..Hope that helps.

Save the music onto the computer from the SD Card. Format the SD Card, It should give you this option in the phone and on the computer in my computer. Redownload the songs to the SD Card and try to reinsert the card. See what happens...

Can not put files on to microSD for my vu
try formatting it as fat16 or just fat depending on your windows version, not ntfs, from My Computer right click it then pick format and choose your options, if this says unable to format, be sure then SD adapter you are using to plug it into the pc is not in locked mode

Phone shuts off
if you droped the Vu than you could have damaged the insides and that might cause the repeating of it shuting off but a easyer way to get music onto your Vu is to get a Micro SD and get an adaptor for it and put music on that and then plug the SD into your phone its alot easyer and faster than useing the cord

Phone shuts off
you might have damaged files on your sd and that is probably causeing the malfunction in which your phone shuts off so if you download from a new site you should be good or get a new sd it might be faulty

Where do you put the sandisk into?
the micro SD(smallest) goes into the phone the other 2 are adapters, mini for older PDA's, the largest goes into your PC (usually on newer models), if the pc does not have a slot for the sd, use a usb adapter to transfer music

Importing music...
Now a days you are getting latest Mp3 players with Micro SD card fecility. Buy them and copy the mp3 songs from computer to Micro SD and shift that from mp3 player to your lg phone. This works fine.
