I hooked up all the wiring and everything for this player but for some reason no matter what type of cd I try to play I get a E-04 display. Tuner works fine. It just won't play burned cds or even originals. Checked with the burned cds. They were both MP3 and wave formatted. They played in my friends pioneer cd player. Just cannot figure out why the cd player won't work when tuner does. I can hear it trying to play but nothing comes on. Please help me if you can.

I suggest the lens needs a clean, or someone has dropped it and broken the delicate lens mech.

well you can really just hook a USB cord into any cd player it has to come with one built into it already and if its not playing your burned cds then its probly of low quality or old. or it doesnt recognize the format that you are burning the cds with especially if your using windows media player to durn the cds some cd players dont read WMA files (windows media assotiated) files
Try loading a disc to see if it will play, if it does see if any of the function buttons work. My guess is that it might actually play cd's if they are loaded but keyboard might not be functioning for some reason. if you need service manual I may be able to help [email protected]
You may have Power antenna and amp remote turn on wires switched. Your system may be looking for turn on signal from radio and only gets it when am or fm is on because power antenna wire is hooked up instead of amp turn on signal.
