Darren has a good solution but water could stay in places that could cause harm to the hp washer. Stick a hose from the inlet of the washer into a jug of RV antifreeze, and remove the spray nozzle and then run the washer. Squeeze and release the trigger a few times to work the antifreeze into the bypass circuit, then hold the trigger until a strong solution is exiting the wand.

What I've always done is just disconnect the water hose then start the washer and pull the trigger till no more water comes out. You don't want to run it very long at all after there's no more water though, you can quickly overheat the pump if it is ran without a water supply for too long. I've been doing this for the past 3 years with one of my washers and haven't had any problems with the pump.

Just remove the drain hose from the drain upstand pipe and lower it to the floor. It will empty the pump or water.

You can also drop a pint of car anti freeze into the machine just to be sure if you wish.

This wash machine is in a park model home. How do your prepare it (wintrize ) for winter storage.

Just turn off the water supply to the washer, and lower drain hose to drain any standing in hose, that is all you need to do.

How do i drain the water from the pump of my washer for the winter months that i don't use it. It is a ge top loading whre555ok

The pump will actually withstand the freezing, but to play it safe, just lay the drain hose down flat on the floor and allow the water to run out.

Drain washer pump for winter

Turn off the water at the cold and hot taps. Disconnect the hoses from the taps and the washer and drain them. Lay the drain hose flat on the floor to drain it to a container. With the hoses disconnected and the drain hose flat, start the fill cycle (set to WARM) briefly (15 seconds) to open the inlet solenoid valves and allow water to drain from them. Start the rinse cycle to pump any residual water out of the tub and drain (15 seconds).
OR
Turn off water and disconnect inlet hoses as described above. Pour 1 gallon of RV anti-freeze (for potable water systems) into the tub. Start the rinse cycle just enough to start the drain so antifreeze goes through pump and into drain hose. Before using the washer again, run a small rinse through to flush out the anti-freeze.
