I have the same problem with my T.V. Then i tried to turn off the tv and turn it back on but it would not come, no power at all. I continued to mess with it and unplugged it and plugged it back in and then it just came on without even putting the power button on. Then it would not have a picture but would have sound then the whole tv would turn off on its own within a couple of minutes? mine has sound no picture when i took it apart it apears to have 3 small picture tubes 1 for each color. I didn;t see just a bulb to be replaced. i'm guessing its just too old and not worth fixing. i'm thinking about buying a flat screen lcd after thanksgiving.mine has sound no picture when i took it apart it apears to have 3 small picture tubes 1 for each color. Impossible to tell with just this information,have seen bulb cause no picture with these,usually if you remove it is easy to check as will have broken glass as the lamp pops.

When was the last time u replaced the projection bulb,yes it could be that simple the projection bulb it dead.The bulb last only about 1 or 2 years,by using the tv on about 4 or 5 hours a day.
sounds like the projection bulb went bad. change the bulb and it should work. sometimes they make a high pitch noise when they are trying to turn on. the bulbs seem to last about 2 years for me.
Call Zenith Exchange Moduel 1-800-632-6637,Replace the power suppy board the one that has FBT flyback transfomer on it ,It will have Board number on it.I have used this company in the Past they are a good company when it comes to replacing board then to try and fix it yourself.
Ur convergence is dead,need convergence kit.

ok! you have lost contact or crack board find the lost contact then re soldered it! do not hit em anymore because can cause damage other big parts! like flyback! H out! and more!
the porblem of your tv might be somwhere in the video chroma.... the first thing to do is to check for an open capacitor 16V 1000mf path ways to CRT board connection to the main board... if your not inclined with this job contact for a service technician.....gud luck!!
