My four year old "top of the line" washing machine is costing me too much money!! It is a super capacity washer (family of 6 generates ALOT of laundry). Up until about 6 months ago everything was fine. Now when we try and do a load in the cold cycle, the water trickles out (takes more than 1/2 hour to fill the tub). The warm & hot cycles work fine (i.e. water comes out in a good, steady flow). The lines are not kinked. I switched the hot & cold lines to see if it was something "outside" of the washer and then the cold flowed freely. It is definitely a problem inside the washer. I assume something is clogged but do not know how to fix it. Can anyone troubleshoot this for me?
Thanks so much-

It sounds like the belt broke or the lid switch could be bad. Use a screw driver to manipulate the switch with the machine on. If you can tip the thing back enough to check the belt. I hope this helps.
This washer is JUNK!!!!!! We have the same washer (2 1/2 years old) and same problem. Tried to replace the bearing myself, no luck. So I called a repair man to come out and look at it. As soon as i told him the model number, they would'nt even come out. Very common problem for this washer. We are on our way to Sears to purchase a Kenmore.....GOOD LUCK
Hiya .. would suggest you having a look at the balance around the drum, ( normally heavy concrete blocks)... locate the fixing bolts and tighten them up ....should sort your prob.
Also make sure that the washer is fairly even and tight on its legs.. this is what usually causes the problem in the first place..
