Ebay seems the cheapest option - plenty of replacement spares for HG10.
Otherwise you can try ordering direct from Canon spares, but chances are it will be expensive.

Is there a place on the camera for AC adaptor?
Yes. Connect the AC-5VX power adapter to the CP-04 DC coupler, remove the batteries from the camera, and insert the CP-04 into the battery compartment.
Both the AC-5VX and CP-04 are optional accessories that have to be purchased separately from the camera.

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.
Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket

Batteries AND ac adapter?
Make sure the ac adaptor ius the right polarity for the camera, negative outside plug and positive centre,also make sure the voltage output of the charger is correct 5 volts dc.You do not need batteries as well as the charger.

I can't charge the battary.
Disconnect DC power cable from AC adapter/charger. Battery charging will not be possible if the DC power cable is left connected to the AC adapter/charger.
