VIDEO OK, AUDIO NOT WORKING

The audio is not working for my in car dvd player. When i press the AUX button on my dashboard, the screen says NO AUX AUDIO. I checked the wiring and and looks to be hooked up alright. Is there a special radio channel I'm supposed to turn it onto?

The aux or auxiliary is used for external audio source (ipods, portable mp3 player, etc) If you are watchig dvd movies, the sound should come from the dvd and not from aux.

F2-1000T Digital Set-top Box.

There are three ways you can connect a DVD player to a TV. Component video gives the best picture quality, but requires 3 cables for the video signal alone. S-video needs only 1 cable but it isn’t as good as component video. Composite video is the easiest connection to make, but gives the lowest picture quality.

Cannot get my mp3 player to operate on the aux input consistently

I have a 2002 Pontiac Montana and I use a 2 pronged RCA plug at one end with a yellow plug and a white plug, and the other end is one plug to use for the MP3 player. Plug your RCA plugs into the bottom 2 plugs. My RCA plugs on my cord are yellow and black the yellow one is in the middle
plug and the black in the bottom one and I use the AUX input for my MP3 player. I have a SANSA
and a Ipod and they both work fine. I hope this helps. Just a FYI so you don't think your radio is
going whacko after you do get the MP3 player to work the AUX will always come on first and you will have to push the AM/FM button on the dash or the steering wheel to get the radio or DVD back on.
And the DVD player will have to be switched on for the AUX to play the MP3 player.
Have fun...

now place the red and white RCA into the back of DVD in-dash player next step the aftermarket CD player should have 2 rca plugs that say aux put the other end red and white RCA cable that you just put into DVD unit into the aux inputs on back of CD player when this is done reinstall both units back into the dash now on your CD player press the source button till aux appears once this is done you will hear the DVD player sound...........now if you press the source button and no aux appears......hold down the source button till the CD player powers off...........once CD player is off hold down the F (function) button till beep or unit turns on a display use the skip buttons or F (function) button to go threw features once you get to aux turn aux to on now hold the source button down again till unit powers on normally once this is done press source button again till you find aux........if you get sound and the TV doesn't work let me know and ill guide you to get that running too (if there are no aux RCA plugs on the back of CD player) let me know (sometimes there is a headphone looking plug on back of CD units) if what i told you doesn't work let me know the brand of CD player you have so i can give you correct setups I'm only going by your in-dash DVD player right now

How to set up remote to turn tv on and off

this is a generic answer that applies to many multi unit remotes

Many remotes have to be trained. the user manual contains a list of code series that identify to the remote what equipment the remote is intended to control. changing batteries may erase the prom that this information is recorded in.
From either the printed manual or by looking up the manufacturers web site from descriptive labels on or in the remote, you can determine the (usually) 3 digit code for your tv dvd video audio units and the button that begins programming mode sop that you can press the unit button, enter the code, press the button to confirm. and be done

My specific remote requires

Hold [menu] untill the red lamp flashes 3 times
press [dvd]
enter the code on the number pad
press [dvd]
press [tv]
enter the code on the number pad
press [tv]
press [vcr]
enter the code on the number pad
press [vcr]
press [audio]
enter the code on the number pad
press [audio]
press [aux]
enter the code on the number pad
press [aux]
press [menu]

thankfully the remote recharges on the dvd player, and I only did that once

Dvd into vhs input

If you can watch TV normally then it should be a button on your VCR remote. It could be "Input", "Line" or "Aux". Tvs with more than one input line will may require 2 presses on that button, one for each line. This is the best answer that I can give not seeing your remote. Any questions?
