Konica Minolta DiMAGE X Digital Camera Logo
Posted on Dec 29, 2008

I installed Dimage x onto my new laptop with windows vista. First, I received a message that it was not compatible...but then there was something to click that made it compatible. After that I downloaded pictues and it worked fine. I went to go online and there was a problem. I decided to do a system restore and no matter what I did, I'd get a non-specified error. A guy from HP told me the camera software corrupted files and I'd have to do a system recovery. 1) is this correct? 2)how do I get an updated version (my cd says version 1.11 Yikes!!!!

I can't help with the techy side I am afraid but we have the same camera and also have a vista laptop. We have not had a problem but I don't think we have ever tried plugging the camera into the laptop as I just put the sd card straight into the laptops card reader and save straight from it. Easy peasy.
Glad I spotted this though. Good luck

Hi, you will have to use another system that does not have restrictions to software.
Or you will have to Run/install a new windows that doesn't select application. Like windows Xp,or windows Vista. Am sure that will do.

Take care.

Dimage Scan Dual IV is it compatable with Windows 7 32 bit?

Right now, the Konica-Minolta site lists the scanner as discontinued and has no drivers for Windows versions later than XP. The Microsoft Compatibility site lists it as "Information Coming Soon" You can try the generic driver that Windows will try to install (check if you need TWAIN or WIA drivers) or download the current driver and try installing it with XP SP3 compatability mode (right click on the file, select Properties, then the compatability tab.

If those fail, there is another option in Win7 Pro or Ultimate. Download and install the XP mode from Microsoft (2 downloads/installs). Then install the scanner inside the virtual computer running XP that results. You may need to save images to external media to share them between the two computers.

I hope this helps.

Lexmark z11 Vista Compatible?

Looks like I've cracked it [Touches wooden desk]. Need a USB to IEEE 1284 36-pin Parallel Printer Cable, like the one I received today (ordered yesterday from www.cables2u.co.uk). First, connect it to Z11. Turn on Z11 and boot up Vista PC/laptop. (I run Vista Business on my laptop.) Connect cable to computer. Message appears "Installing device driver software". Click it for status. 'Found New Hardware' box appears. Click 'Locate and install driver software'. A message appears "Error loading LXADSUI.DLL. Specified module could not be found". Click 'OK'. Message appears saying driver software installed successfully. ["Yeah, right ..."] (Have faith, folks!) Now, click Start, then Control Panel and double-click Printers. Right click on Z11 and click on Set As Default Printer. Right click on Z11 again and click on Properties. Check on Ports tab that Port USB is ticked for Z11. On Cartridge Maintenance tab, check right cartridge is showing. If not, click 'Install/Change Cartridge' and follow instructions. Then 'Clean Print Nozzles' and 'Align Cartridges'. Check settings on the other tabs in Properties look OK and try printing a test page! It looks good to me!
