JVC KD-AVX1 Sirius Just Quit

One Hour ago it was working fine. Stoped at a mini mart to pick up a water. Got back in the truck the deck flashed reset08 (Thats a CD changer error via the Manual) and the Sirius channels are all go hitting the preset buttons nothing shows up. Reset the deck still not Sirius. Called Sirius they boosted signal reset nothing. JVC is not open today. Anyone have any clues or is my deck hosed???

I had the same problem. My solution was easy, with the car off and deck off find the Sirius connect unit. When you do unplug the large connector. turn the deck on and off once. Then plug the siruis connect back in and turn on your deck. it should work then.

Can't select satellite option when pressing source button.

The Sirius Tuner is separate from the AM/FM/CD, check the plugs between the two. If all is snug, pull the SIRIUS tuner and go to a JVC dealer that would have any deck w/sirius as an option and plug it in. If it sees it, it's more than likely a problem with your deck. My guess is it's a bad SIRIUS tuner. There have been LOTS!!! Good news is there easy to replace if bad, and there cheap! $45.00 from Crutchfield rebuilt.

Sirius radio

From my experience, you can not integrate the vehicle Satellite equipment into aftermarket audio pieces. You will have to buy a JVC specific Sirius tuner or use an Fm modulated unit.
