Generic Problem I am getting a Toshiba 50" projection tv from a friend. The only problem is that the power went out one day and since then the tv shows 3 pictures. Is it going to be worth getting fixed?

You will need to replace or have the convergence ICs changed out. Not really a hard job and should cost you about 225 to 375 to have this set repaired. Good Luck

If you put in a generic lamp--this WILL happen. Toshiba sets do NOT like generic lamps. And vapor lamps often do not show physical signs of going bad.

Its called a micro-switch and they are fairly generic--look for a parts set similar to yours. If you need the actual plastic button array try Toshiba who might still have it.

Last night 6 days after we had direct tv installed, we had a power surge,and now our toshiba 50 inch rear projection tv has audio, but no video.

Check you setup selections , on the menu tab , it
may be set to sap or second language due to the
surge.

Try website 1-800-Remotes Factory original.Buy an exact remote to used it.Find out more about the what problems with the tv.Must have the remote first.

Hi Shaun. I just picked a new lenticular screen for Toshiba TZ50V61. I went to their Web-page and it showed me where there was Toshiba -based warranty shops according to Zip or area code. I went to one near my area and ordered a screen. It took three weeks to get to me and cost $170.00. I live in Canada so you might get one faster and cheaper.

Toshiba TP50H95 No sound no picture

Sounds like a problem in the deflection circuits either vertical or horizontal. You may also want to check the solder connections in the tuner as they have been known to develop cracks over time. But the prior shrinking tends to say deflection problems.If I can assist you further please let me know.

Toshiba TP50H15 Rear projection TV - Sound drops in and out The sound will come on very low and then after a period of time it will "pop" back to normal. Some times it will go very low and again, after a period of time, will pop back to normal. It's not distorted, just very low volume. Is there a PC board with the amp on it that needs to be replaced?
