I'd send it to the company. Usually Canon should have you pay $50 and they will replace it with a refurbished one (which is perfectly fine).

^ this was my case,

Hope this helps!

Hi! It looks pretty much that the camera reached it's break point. It will cost you atleast $190 for the repair and will only cost you $300 or less for a latest model of camera nowadays. I strongly suggest that you get a new one to replace this camera. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

SOURCE: horizontal white lines on blurry

Dear Friend,
I had also the same problem with my Canon A430. Mainly this problem is due to stuck of the camera shutter, always in open mode, images are overexposed due to this.
I had the problem with lens flex cable, which was partially damaged due to movement of lens and one coil was not working, due to this one shutter was not working and remains always in open mode. There are two coils, which operates the 2 shutters. I purchased the lens flex cable from ebay and replaced it, now it is working fine. Your problem may be the same.

Some of my pictures are blurry using a cannon rebel 3. how can i fix this problem?

There are several possible causes for blurry pictures.
1) Camera motion. If everything is blurry, it's most likely because the camera moved while the picture was being taken. Make sure your shutter speed is fast enough if you're handholding the camera (longer lenses require faster shutter speed). Alternatively, put your camera on a stable surface, such as a tripod or a tabletop.
2) Subject motion. If the subject is blurry but the background is sharper, then the subject may have moved while the picture was being taken. Use a faster shutter speed. Raise the ISO if needed. There are limits, of course. If you're trying to photograph a fast-moving object in the dark, you probably won't be able to.
3) Improper focus. If the subject is blurry but something else in the picture is sharp, then the camera probably focused on the wrong object. Move the focus selector to the subject you want in focus. Alternatively, center the viewfinder on the subject, press the shutter button halfway to lock focus, then reframe and shoot.
Without any more specific information as to what and how your pictures are blurry, I'm afraid the above is all I can give you.

Blurry pics or with yellow tinge

If your pictures are blurry, you have a shutter speed that is too slow. If they are yellow, your white balance isn't set to auto. Try using the camera in more light or setting it to full auto. There is most likely nothing wrong with your camera.

My screen shows a blurry picture and it takes a blurry picture. it didnt used to. what is wrong? how do i fix it?

I have the exact same problem. When I was in NY last fall, suddenly my camera would only take blurry pictures. I hadn't changed any settings or anything. I can get halfway decent pictures in Auto mode, but any of the other settings only take blurry pictures. Apparently a lot of people have this problem, but no one knows how to solve it...

White Lines and blurry Pictures

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.

It's need repair camera machine shutter.
