Question about Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher
Thanks Joe Rex, G,day mate, I will check it out next time I get a chance. Australia by the way is great but me and my family need a sea change. Too much of the same thing gets us stirred up here. Kangaroos do not run around the city here but in the country towns they sometimes do. We are in Newcastle 160 kilometres from Sydney. You might have heard about the earth quake on December 28 1989. I will let you know how it goes with both the dishwasher and our need to have a change of, well something.

REMOVE THE LOWER DISH RACK. MAKE SURE THE SPRAY ARM IS TURNING FREELY AND SEATED DOWN SECURELY. MAKE SURE THE DRAIN LINE IS NOT PLUGED. IT HAS A WATER LEVEL SAFEY SWITCH ... I9F THE WATER IS NOT DRAINING ON THE RINSE CYCLE, THE WASHER WILL SHUT OFF IN THAT CYCLE. WHEN IT STOPS. SEE IF THERE IS ANY WATER IN THE BOTTOM ... THERE SHOULD BE NO WATER.

Tips for a great answer:
It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.
Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.
