I have the exact same problem. I installed the then free HP kit a few years ago and apparently, it doesn't work any more. This is a work printer that they are not going to replace or spend any money on so I guess that I am out of luck.

You need to install a paper jam kit. These models are notorious for having feed problems due to the paper stack standing up. I get my parts from a company called "Parts Now!" and you can get this kit from them. The part number is KIT-FEED-1100-PNO. It requires some disassembly of the printer. HP used to provide a free "defect kit" which was very simple to install, but I cannot find a reference to it anymore. Hope this helps!

E2 error code on Xerox work centre xd series 120f copier

e2 is a paper jam problem. check that the paper guides in the cassette are positioned aginst the paper properly. Also remove the toner and drum cartridge. Clean all rubber rollers that you can get to with a damp cloth ( water). You are especially trying to clean the upper and lower registration rollers that "pinch" the paper. I hope that this helps.

IAM USING HP DESK JET F2100 PRINTER MY PAPEROUT LED IS ALWAYS BLINKING AND NOT PRINTING

Possibly it either does not have enough paper in the tray - some printers require about half an inch of paper to work. Sometimes also the switch or feed on the paper try gets stuck, look inside to be sure the paper can feed properly onto the rollers, some printers have sort of a plastic piece that is spring loaded and moves, also look for a switch that may be stuck or if there is any tiny piece of paper that may be inside holding a switch open.

Printer wont feed paper says out of paper

you "may" have something stuck on one of the feed rollers - a ripped piece of paper or something. See if you can examine the rollers, and look very carefully, particularly on the side that the paper keeps jamming.

In all honesty though, printers are pretty disposable these days. They're not worth getting fixed, and if you can't do quick maintenance on them, getting a new one is your best solution.

The machine gives a false error message.''misfeed A :internal path

Pull out paper cassett and look for paper in the feed section. Fold a sheet of paper in half and using the blue lever inside right side door feed paper between feed rollers. Make sure you do the whole width of feed section. There might be a small piece stuck you can't see.

We have a Brother FAX-1840c. It will jam feeding paper into the scanner. I maintenance mode it returns an A1 error code. Feed rollers look serviceable and the pressure pad is clean. Stops half way thru...

Hi
There must be some torn paper or something stuck in the Paper feed. You will need to ope the upper face portion by pulling it, and then look for papers/ dirt / pins there, you can either clean it by blowing air or use a blower, or if you can see the particle. Try feeding the paper, it should be ok.

Paper doesn't feed

It could be a few things, but the times I've had similar problems it was either caused by the feed/gripper rollers in the paper trays being worn out, thus not feeding any paper or feeding half a sheet and then jamming.

Or, it could be that the elevator in your paper tray isn't lifting, but if it's taking paper it's probably the rollers.

Paper getting stuck

the reason the paper is going in sideways is because one feed roller has more pressure than the other

try cleaning the rollers with alcohol and cotton cloth

If that does not work remove the paper tray t

take your fingers and see if the feed rollers turn freely or turn in only one direction( some rollers are half moon and only turn a half turn)

Just try to make sure that the roller that is not working is in the same position and turns the same as the one that does feed properly
