KDS-R60XBR2 No Analog Video

I've got a Sony KDSR60XBR2 rear projection TV that has stopped trasmitting video signals from anything connected via analog video. I have a Wi, a Panasonic DVR, and a Canon Camcorder that all connect via s-video or composite video. I can still get audio from those devices but no video.

Ironically I have my DirecTV receiver and a Bluray player connected via HDMI. Those have been working splendidly.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Hello.

The Digital video in this unit bypasses all the processing and is shot directly, so that narrows it down to the processing circuitry that the analog signals must pass through to get to the optical block.
The AU board in this unit has given me issues before, so it would be my first guess. It could be the UU or the B2, but the only bad one I've had with these boards was due to water damage, so I doubt that it is the problem.

The AU is located behind the UU (the one with all the connectors). Part number A-1217-798-A. Good luck.

Power error 6 times - 11V is low. - No picture/No sound
From my past experience, yes. Not sure about the 11v being low. My kdf 45 acted that way when the main lamp went out. Found a replacement on Amazon for around $45 and now good to go! So far about a year and a half. Have had to replace about 4 for friends and family so far with same symptoms. The 5 blinks is indicating the lamp ballast needs replacement your model uses the Sony lamp Ballast 147401211 for sony models KDF42E2000, KDS-50A2000, KDS-50A2010, KDS-55A200, KDS-60A2000, KDS-60A2010, & KDS-60XBR2 amd LDS-R60XBR2

These don't usually do this. Check your connections and different inputs. If not you have a bad signal board most likely. 230-250 dollar fix.

Hi,
It is light engine problem in your Sony KDS-R60XBR2 lcd rear projection tv.
This tv does not have any color wheel because of its light engine technology.
Lamp is just light source that provides bright white light to light engine and its working properly.
Light engine will be replaced to fix green screen problem.

It sems that you are having a problem with you color wheel, that is what makes the variation of color happen in your tv set, if that is not working correctly, it causes either a black and white picture, some times no picture at all or like in your case to much of one color.

Projection sony tv is yellow
Most likely it is the Optical Block. It has been a issue for most of the Sony LCD Rear Projections manufactured over the last 6 plus years. Your Model may still Qualify as a factory recall. What you need to do is to get in touch with Sony's Customer Service at 1800-222-SONY and see if it does Qualify.
If not, it is a expensive repair costing 1200.00 to a 1500.00.

I have a sony tv model (KDS-R60XBR2)That is flashing 5 red on the front panel. No picture no sound,I have tried reset through remote (display-5-Volume plus)still no screen . Any ideas?Thanks Ron
I had the same problem last year and when I contacted the Sony repairman he looked it up and said it was the fan. He said the red light blinks 5 times to signal the fan is blown.(According to their booklet). He came and replaced the fan and it was as good as new. Good luck!
