Yes. as long as the interface of HDD matched with mainboard of laptop interface. compaq nx7010 use SATA interface so you should use SSD drive with SATA interface . :)

I want to buy the HP Laptop 17-cp0012nv (631N9EA). Does anyone know if it supports 32gb of ram and if I can add 2nd hdd? Is there any photo/video of the internal?

Not sure on the amount of RAM supported but this video shows how to tear down and put that notebook back together. Replacing the memory starts at about 2:17.

I have an HP Pavilion a6228x and need a hard drive. Any suggestions?

why not upgrade to SSD?
for amazing performance no matter what, its just price ,size issue, a vast sea of SATA drive exist and work.
desktop it is. sata 320GB HDD when new.
you do know that means the OS dead right ,stuffing in any new empty drive?
unless the old HDD is good and you clone it to say any SSD (if the OS infected,or corrupted then this cloning is doomed)
the only limits are old PCs limit to 2TB MAX. LIMIT.
not spam at all any top ssd brand is good. even intels.

BUY CRUCIAL SDD. Pavilion a6228x , max age 12 years https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-a6228x#SSDFilters

HOW OFTEN??Should you defragment?Do I have a HDD or SSD hard drive??How do I find out??Does defraging SSD destroy your hard drive quicker?

HDD answered first.
id did this just as lawn needed mowing
or learn how setup ms defrag, it even can be auto scheduled.

no modern ssd need that, all self defrag,(trim) (super relics no)
"do i have" well
in w10 click on cp control panel then then device manage
and the open disk drivers it tells you all there. maker and model
the model number can be google and see spec on any drive made on earth ever.
no w10 does not auto-fragment any ssd MADE. NEVER.
IT KNOWS IT IS THERE OR NOT
ONLY you do not know yet.

it's like the old draino commercial ad.
would drain-o let YOU hurt your pipes??????? NO.

How to install ssd in asus s500ca

Am not an expert in this area. I have a different laptop. I swapped my HDD with ssd.

U just have to open up ur laptop.
Basically ssd can be mounted in three ways. Depends on how ur laptop hardware is arranged and what kind of ssd you install.

U can either mount ssd instead of current HDD, or swap ur optical drive with an ssd or even swap ur WiFi Bluetooth card with ssd. First open up ur laptop. Plenty of videos are available in YouTube, on how to dismantle it. Then choose what type of ssd and simply install it. All the best.

Dell Inspiron 6400 won't detect SSD Drive

I think you were on the right track, the Dell Forums, if they have done it successfully , ask they how. I would only be covering ground you have already covered.

Trying to start computer with SSD and HDD, NOT happening!

Have you tried going into the bios to see if the ssd is recognized and have the computer boot from the ssd So connect the drive and put your windows disk in and install to the ssd During the install it will scan for drives and ask which drive you want to install on Make sure you check the boot options in the bios to allow the connect drive

Replacing the hdd with ssd

Does your laptop's BIOS support SSDs? The BIOS of some older laptops won't work properly with solid-state drives. Unfortunately, there's no easy rule of thumb to follow in this regard, so before you buy, try doing a Web search for your PC model and "SSD compatible" to see if other users have had upgrade issues.

And if everything is fine then here the Video which can help you to Replace Hdd over SSd

Can I upgrade the hdd in Flybook V5 (hdd is 80 GB Toshiba MK8009GAH) with an ssd? Which model would do ?

Well, I answer my own question, in case somebody else is interested. I bought a ZIF SSD on ebay (Kingspec 128 GB), after inquiring with the seller if it was compatible (any 1.8' ZIF drive SHOULD be, at any rate) for about $140. Together I also bought, for additional $7.50, an USB - ZIF adapter enclosure and cable. I put the SSD in the USB enclosure and cloned the Flybook harddisk, using Acronis True Image, to te SSD in the USB enclosure. Then I opened the Flyboo. This was not very difficult: there's a protective sticker sheet under the battery, to remove carefully in order to access all the screws, then a lot of screws of 3 different sizes to keep track of. The original harddisk is kept in place just by a sticker sheet which peels off easily enough. Then I replaced the SSD in place of the HD, screwed back all the screws (careful here not to swap different sizes!) and put back in place the sticker sheet under the battery. It just worked at first try, and I'd say it works really great, much faster to boot up and resume from standby.
