Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Record Mode

I really don't know what happened exactly, but ever since a few days ago my camera's been on Record Mode. Every different dial does exactly the same thing. I press down the button to capture the picture and it makes a red light and a green dot flashes, then it says Recording. So my question is, How do I get it off Record Mode. It's really annoying.

I had the same problem and you go to menu then REC mode and make sure it is on normal, mine was on multi burst and thats why it was recording on every setting. Hope this helps :)

NO PROBLEM. RIGHT NOW YOUR DSC-W50 IS COMPATIBLE WITH MAC OS9.1 AND MAC OS 9.2.
YOU NEED TO POINT TO SONY-eSUPPORT DSC-W50-SOFTWAREUPDATES AND DRIVERS.

THIS SHOULD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. IF NOT, REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217 AND I WILL DO SOME MORE CHECKING ON THIS SITE. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK! JUST A QUESTION- AREN'T THESE TWO OF THE OLDER MAC OS SYSTEMS? I THOUGHT THEY WERE USING LEOPARD AND 10.0? THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES LISTED SO FAR.

Cybershot dsc-w50 records movies instead of pictures

I had the same problem with my camera.  I found that changing the mode from Multi Burst to Normal allows the camera to take normal pictures.  Go to Menu and scroll over to Mode, then select Normal.

How do you know it is not your camera's display screen. Download pics to computer to verify. If you do not have a computer, take mem card to a retail photo Kiosk or counter; walmart, drugstores, etc.

If they are still white after reading card, and a pick file exists, then it is probably the Record Mode, pic taking mode, of the camera that is defective, of some setting out of whack.

Try removing the cam battery and reinstall after a 10 sec waiting time. This will reset the camera and put setting back to DEFAULT mfg settings.
