One morning I powered on and all convergence was lost. I had no controls to adjust it, nothing worked, so I replace the convergence board, and convergence module. Now I am able to adjust my convergence just fine but when I power the TV off I loose the convergence and have to redo it every time I turn the TV back on. On another note when I try the auto focus feature it displays a message "Check Factory Settings". Any help would be appreciated.

Re:
You must enter the service mode and align your convergence and save it to the epromm also activate the auto focus to activate the sensors , power on /mute-1-8-2- / press enter to save and before you exit activate the focus key on the remote ,very inportant to do the last step./g

What did you put in. convergence amp or convergence power. this is a rca hd52w59? i always ask the question in customer menu under setup can you see the option of convergence. if not this is the fl231 fuse problem. consult the article fl231 under tips and tricks section of my profile. the curved picture is an indication complete loss of convergence power. there is a board that does provide convergece power. The convergence on this set is controled by three diffrent boards. power, amp and the small signal board. the small signal board is the most expensive and most complicated to replace ussally a tech has to replace that.
this is a complete loss of convergence. FIrst question do you have the convegence option under setup in customer menu... if you dont then it might be the fl231 fuse problem common with these sets. if you do then try autoconvergence... if fails then you probally have a bad convergence power board. there are three diffrent boards that can affect convergence. convergence power, convergence amp, and small signal board..
Convergence problems. FIrst try going into customer setup and seeing if convergence options are there and if adjustments can be made. unfortunately when the picture is bowed like that it idicates a complete loss of convergence which idicates one of three boards have gone bad.
Why would the set go out of adjustments? I highly doubt if the set needs only alignment. These adjustments are for small drifts only. If anything is way out more then what the on screen can adjust, you have a problem with the convergence correction circuit. There is a convergence power supply in this set that goes bad a lot in these TV sets. There is also a convergence driver board. These RCA sets do not have the integrated IC's like most sets do. Each convergence yoke, horizontal as well as the vertical, has two independent power amp circuits driving them. And that's for all there tubes. So there are 6 separate amps controlling the convergence in these TV sets. You really should call in an RCA authorized repair shop to assist you in this repair. Good Luck
You have a failure in the convergence circuit.
There's a circuit board ( the convergence board) which has 3 IC'c on it that drive yokes on each of the picture tubes red-green- blue.
You probably lost power to these IC's or one or more may have opened up. Sometimes poor solder joints on these IC's will develop causing loss of convergence.
Hope this gives you an idea as to where you problem is.
