Stuck in Progressive Scan Mode??? Remove the disc(s) from the changer, make sure TV is on Blue Screen...should say "Progressive Scan Mode".......Simply press and hold the stop button for 5-10 seconds and it will reset.

Bless you. I solved this problem once a long time ago by coming online to research it. But I stupidly forgot and did the same thing again. I did a search of "Goldstar progressive scan" and found this solution and it worked. I tried the progressive scan because the DVD I was watching just started and played (yay!) but I never got the menu where I could go to the music video at the end. I was trying to find that. The minute it got stuck I knew what was happening and I was screwed. I'm so glad this was posted! Thank you!

VCR tape stuck in VCR

One way is to take off the cover of the unit so that you can see where the tape is hung up and help push the tape out. (One of two problems are usually involved: the cassette cover isn't closing down evenly (a high corner blocking the travel path) or a loop of the tape blocking the cover closing.)

On my VCR unit it was ~4 screws on the back that held the cover in place. (That was VCR only. There might be a few more screws in the larger unit.)

I hope this helps.

How can I get my DVD to get unstuck out of my VCR/DVD player?

I can't get any support from sansui. I think your DVD player is trying to read the disk. It can't and its stuck in DVD mode. This is just something I would try I don't know if it will work. Unplug the power source hold down the eject button and plug it back in. The objective is to try to get it to spit that disk out before it has a chance to try to read it.I hope this helps. If it does give me a vote and I'll know it worked.

DVD stuck in player

Find the small hole on the front of the player. Get a paper clip and straighten it out. Stick one end in the hole and the DVD should pop out.

You will have to unplug the VCR and take it apart. You should be able to move the mchanism and/or door to free the tape.
