Make sure your cartridges are securely placed into socket. Make sure your cords and cables are all connected and make sure your printer software is installed. If it still does not work uninstall your software restart your computer and printer and then reinstall your software.

Brother printer LC61 has stopped working, screen says consult user's guide for trouble shooting and routine maintainence, no longer have the guide. Unplugged it and it didn't help.

Brother has documentation for many of their printers here: http://www.brother-usa.com/support/#.Tt73V1Yb1G8 . Select the type of printer and then the model.

As far as I know, LC61 is the first part of the code for the cartridges that several Brother multi-functional ink jet printers use. So please add a comment with your printer's model number for additional help. Also include if the screen message is on your computer or the printer itself. Please give details of the problem as well (an error code, details of whether you were printing from a networked computer or a device directly connected to the printer or scanning a document, or just turned it on).

For example the MFC-490CW uses the LC61BK, LC61C, LC61M and LC61Y cartridges. The direct link to the manual for this printer is http://www.brother-usa.com/ModelDocuments/Consumer/Users%20Manual/UM_MFC_490CW_EN_1773.PDF .

A friend has a Canon MP630 inkjet which seems to have seized up after a paper jam earlier. He's getting an error code of 5100. If anyone knows what that means it would be much appreciated. Thank...

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

Error 5100 means that the cartridge can not be detected by the printer.
Actually the printer is not actually loading the cartridge and showing you the error
. To solve it:

First of all turn off printer
then remove both the cartridges from the printer.Use a clothe moistened with alcohol to clean the surface contact on the cartridges where the terminals inside the printers touches. After it return the cartridges and turn on the printer.Error will be automatically remove

I hope this solution helps you
Thank you and Keep using FixYa!

Unable to Print 70, what does this mean?

The users guide states that you have a mechanical problem or a piece of paper is caught somewhere in the machine. Open it up and check for a small piece that may have wedged itself along the paper path.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't position automatically to the center even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip and gently slide the carrier to the middle of the printer.Remove the used cartridges. Load the new cartridges.Close the cover.Plug the printer back to power source.

I hope this solution will helpful 4 u. Best of luck

What do the Picture symbols mean on the side of the printer?

You may check the Lexmark X2500 User's Guide for reference. If you have the printer software installed on Windows operating system, you can view the user guide by going to the Start menu -> All Programs/Programs -> Lexmark X2500 Series -> User's Guide.
You can also download it for free from the Lexmark website using this link Lexmark X2500 User's Guide. Scroll to page 14 for description of the control panel buttons for the printer.
I hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.

6B10 problem

Hi,

If you still need the user guide, you may find it here: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=12804

I'm afraid that here is already a mechanical problem on your printer if displays 6B10. It's a paper feed sensor error on your printer that means you need to have it serviced with an authorized canon technician.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Language problem

You mean on the PC or the manual itself?

For the English Manuals, you can download them here:

Windows User Guide

If the actual software is the another language, you can download it from here:

Windows XP Full Software
(note, this file is 22MB in size, and may take a while to download)

When you installed the software, did you choose English?

Turns on by itself

HP has a pretty good on-line troubleshooting guide for their printers. Below is a link that will out-line how to trouble shoot your particular printer and what all the lights and indicators mean. http://tinyurl.com/htn3v If you are not able to resolve your issue through this, then you may be able to have a live chat session with an HP tech who can help resolve your issue.
