Green light goes on when I turn camera on, but 3 red lights flash when I shoot & nothing happens. I tried changing multiple batteries, all alkaline. No luck yet. Any ideas?

The 3 flashing red lights indicate low battery power! This could be because of low battery power (all 4 batteries must be good), the battery contacts in the camera are poor, the make of battery being used (try different make of battery)

My camera s flasnmode did not work it happaned when my camers power on for a long time how to fix that flash mode ?

Hi,

If the built in flash does not function, then the Camera flash may be turned off or ot is set to Auto and will only flash when the taking pictures in poorly lit environments. To turn on the flash so it works regardless of the lighting conditions, press the flash button on the Camera until the Forced Flash icon appears on the LCD screen. The flash button on the Camera has a lightning bolt symbol on it.
If the Forced Flash setting is already enabled and the flash is still not working, then the issue may be due to another camera setting. Even if the Forced flash setting it enabled, the flash will still not work in the following settings.
When shooting movies.
When shooting in the Twilight or Handheld Twilight mode.
When shooting with the Burst or Multi Burst mode.
Shooting with the Fireworks or high sensitivity mode. (ISO)
Following the above steps should resolve the issue. However, if the issue persists try resetting the Camera back to factory settings and specifications.
Try power resetting the Camera to check if it resolves the issue. To power reset the Camera, turn off the Camera and remove the battery pack. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Remain the Camera without power for 60 seconds and reinsert the battery.
If the issue persists, try Initializing the Camera. The Initialize option can be done only if the Menu of the Camera is accessible. To access Initialize select MENU-->SETUP-->SETUP 1-->INITIALIZE-->OK.
This should resolve the issue.

Thanks for using FixYa.

When i try to turn my camera on it flashes a small red light and then it won't turn on, how do i fix this?

Hi,

The Red indicator flashing in the Camera may be the Access Lamp or the Power Lamp. The Access Lamp is located below the Control buttons and the Power Lamp near to the power button. If the Access Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is accessing the Memory. Do not remove the Memory Stick or Batter while the Access Lamp is lit.

If the Power Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is turned on. If the Lamp is lit in Red it shows that the Battery is not having enough charge. Insert new batteries or charged Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries to resolve the issue.

You may also try power resetting the Camera. To power reset the Camera, remove the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute and check if the Camera works normally. If the issue persists, service may be required.

Thanks

Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1- doesn't do anything in record mode

As I have been writing on other HD1/2 problems, sometimes it can be the card which is an issue. If the card is too slow or perhaps corrupted then the device can find it difficult to record.

This and other soft faults (that are reperable by turning the power on and off, changing or reinserting the card, removing the battery) are often indicated by a flashing red recording light.
