not so sure if warped lines about it not being convergence, if the lines are diagonal and light red etc it may be a screen circuit issue. Hard to tell from description----take a few good photos and post them on a free photo sharing site and provide a link here---expert who sees what it looks like may be able to help...............
Sony has had alot of problems with the light engines
and your set is DLP. Call Encompass Parts Distrubtion for Part number and Price then go to E-Bay look under Electronics tpye in part number .I have found same Parts Alot cheaper on Ebay, some by as much as $300.00
you can Google website or call 1-800-638-3328
Sounds like a typical high-voltage failure. Could easily cost
another $300 to have it fixed. If it is less than about 6 years
old I'd say it was worth fixing. If you want to DIY, then pull
all the electronics out (label all the connections) and send it all to
either Module Exchange at 972-298-1212 or PTS Electronics
Try doing a reset of the TV first. On Panasonics this is done with the TV on and then pressing on the POWER and ACTION (on the fron of the TV only) buttons at the same time until the screen blanks out or a diagnostic screen appears. Once you do this all custom functions (color, tint, channel memory) will be back to factory defaults.
