21 inch LG tv switching on for 5 seconds and coming to standby. Again when I switch on the same thing happens. All Voltages are OK. The tv failed due to lightening during rains. I had replaced the vertical IC and H out transistor 1803DF. The anode cap was completely rusted and I had replaced it with a new EHT cap. What could be the problem for its switching off.

Hi there i have hed the same problem with my television, its the same model i believe. I am sure i have just fixed mine though. I resoldered some joints on the main circuit board, there were 3 dry joints. It has been working now for a week and hasn't gone off once..

the cpu of your tv is not working,coldsolder the mainboard of your tv and the cpu then get the voltage output of your tv.

There might be something wrong with your TV Set power supply. I guess it switches off because of damage to all the electronics prevention. You should call to you local repair service or if it is still hasn't expired the warranty, call the warranty service

I think your control board might be your problem can you get a signal out of the normal composite or coaxial outputs?
