The router is a Simens Gigaset SE587 and I am sure you should be able to connect up to 4 devices to this. I only have my Laptop running off of it.
Anyway's my IPOD finds the Tiscali network no problems, and then asks for the password, which I assume is the same password as I use for my broadband PC connection. However when typing this in, it refuses connection.
I would appreciate any help you can offer?
The best way to fix the problem is by going into the router interface n getting da wireless encrytpion key(password) from the same.
For a Siemens Gigaset router enter 192.168.1.1 in da address bar of your browser e.g. IE.
You will get to the DSL status windows. Click wireless on the top(next to setup) and then click on wireless security on the left.Here you will get da required info abt the wireless encryption type and da encryption key(password)
It can either be WEP or WPA encryption.Just make a note of the key and enter the same on da Ipod/PDA/Iphone when it demands for da network key or passpharase.you should now be able 2 connect without any problems.

When you say password for your broadband PC Connection, do you mean WEP on the router?
If you have WEP enabled on your router, then this is the "password"
that the iPod Touch is referring to when setting up the WiFi connection
on the Touch.
If you are trying to use the password that you have on your PC, as in the Windows Login password, this is not going to work.

Thanks for this gryghin, the only password that I have is for my logon onto Broadband from my PC. Although the connnection is automatic, so don't have to put this in evertime. I don't appear to have any other passwords / any WEP codes available. the only other key on the sticker on the box is a wpa key?
i also cant connect my ipod to orange live box.
i cant get my ipod touch to work through my tiscali router it is a siemens router.Do i need a wireless connection for my pc or do i need to change settings on my pc,cant seem to work it out.
