I have always been able to scan and E Mail items with no problem.
About a week ago, when I tried to scan & send an E Mail, When I click on the Attach Tab, I have a pop-up asking for a profile, then other info., that I can't resolve.
Therefore, I am not able to use that feature, which was important to me. All other features work fine.
There are many boxes after the 1st., but nothing that I can really solve, or understand.
I would like to have me E Mail capabilities back the way they were originally.
I have ub-installed and reinstalled the printer 3 times, but it didn't remove the problem.....HELP

working 3 weeks ago. well, something must have changed in your network since then, check smtp server with your mail provider if it is scan to email. if it is scan to the file, check firewall, ip addresses, destination folder, login and passowrd to the destination pc.
Solution : Make Sure the SMTP (Mail) Server is an Open Relay Server or Uses POP-Before-SMTP Authentication
The mail server being used must be an Open Relay server or use POP before SMTP authentication. If the mail server being used requires SMTP authentication, the scan to e-mail process will fail. The WorkCentre is unable to access the mail server when SMTP authentication is required. Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or System Administrator for additional information. NOTE: The WorkCentre was designed to send e-mail through internal corporate mail servers. In most cases, if using your Internet Service Provider (ISP) mail server, the scan to e-mail process will fail because most ISP mail servers require SMTP authentication to send mail. Contact your ISP for additional information.
I would first go in and change the password on the account... And I think you need to contact Yahoo inorder to cancel the account. My account was hacked about 2 yrs ago and it was sending out adult links to tons of people. But all I did was change the password and scanned my computer for any infections.
here is a link to cancel your account if you choose this option.
Some programs have options for sending scans in emails, but there is always the good old fashioned way. Scan your document to a desktop folder, or it's default folder. Then open your email and send the scan as an attachment to the email. It's a two-step process, but it gets it there.
Good luck, thanks for using FixYa, and please rate this if it helped.
Download antivirus ,install and scan the computer
When computer is free off viruses.
Log in to Yahoo and change the password.
Just changing password does not help,
there are people out there whos installed a "trojan horse" on your computer.
They can see everything you do on the computer!
also when you change password.
So antivirus first.
This is the solution. Please vote!!!
You might have configured outlook to yahoo. To send email just close the outlook program from our computer while sending mail. If you still faces the problem, just try to uninstall the outlook and then send mail.
First of all, do you know if the company received your resume?
Call them and see if they received it via email.
If they haven't, I would just start a msn @live.com email account you can use for business. MSN has larger storage and it's very
easy to set up an account free.
