Collecting no water

My Crosley 40 PT Dehumidifier sounds like it is working but is not collecting a drop of water. I know that my basement is wet. I can see and smell water. I made sure that the float is free and inside the water collection container. What else can I check?

I've had the same problem with two different Crosley units, both time it was the cheap plastic fan. The fans wear out and spin on the motor shaft.

My crosley dehum. acted the same way. It turned out to be a bad defrost thermostat on the evaporator coil.

I have a Whirlpool Gold dehumidifier that's about 5 years old. The motor sounds and runs just fine, but it's no longer collecting water. Is it fixable?

whats it set on, check and verify the the compressor running if not wont pull out any humidity
